Jayli is a wholesale and retail company featuring original bohemian clothing designs and accessories inspired from Thailand and Nepal. We work with various people in Nepal and Thailand whom we consider part of the extended Jayli family. Most of our manufacturers have been working with us for several years and we have built close friendships with them and their families. We consider ourselves to be a fair trade company (although we are not yet certified due to lots of red tape) and ensure that our manufacturers are paid fairly for their work. We spend a lot of time in the factories with the tailors, embroiderers, packers and other workers. The working environment in every factory is comfortable, pleasant and relaxed. As you can tell from the pictures we have a lot of fun hanging out with the workers and often times with their wives and children. A standing joke in the Jayli office is that the only child labor you will see in one of our factories is our seven year old daughter, Tai Lila, helping the factory workers tie dye, pack and fold clothing. We have developed wonderful friendships with our manufacturers over the years and are proud to be able to show these pictures to you.

For the past two years Jayli has been involved in fundraising for an orgaisation in nepal that helps malnourished children and their caregivers. The organisation has a residential treatment center where they nurse sick malnourished children back to health and then teach the mothers or other caregivers how to cook for and feed their children nutritioous meals. The child and mother stays in the treatment center until they are healthy enough to return home with their mother. The family is followed up on for several months after they leave. In September our daughter's 1st grade class raised $900 which we hand delivered to the center ($65000 rupees). This amount goes a long way in a country as poor as Nepal. We plan to continue our work with this organisation which also includes and orphanage and a treatment center for children with HIV. We feel that we want to give back to those in need in a country that desperately needs so much help.
If you would like to make a donation to the residential treatment center, please
contact us and we will help facilitate your donation.
